The start time for Rounds 2-3 of the 2019 NFL Draft, scheduled to take place Friday, is 7 p.m. ET. The start time for Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft, which includes Rounds 4-7, is 12 p.m. ET.

Another aspect new to the NFL Draft this year is its location: Nashville, Tenn. The home city of the Titans is hosting the draft for the first time. The NFL Draft has jumped around to different locations over the last three years, with Chicago, Philadelphia and Dallas hosting the last three NFL Drafts, respectively, after 14 straight years of the event being held in New York.

When is the NFL Draft 2019?

Start time: 8 p.m. ET (Thursday) | 7 p.m. ET (Friday) | Noon ET (Saturday)

The 2019 NFL Draft begins Thursday, April 25 at 8 p.m. ET with the start of the first round in Nashville. The NFL Draft will continue Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m. ET with the start of the second round, immediately followed by the third round. The NFL Draft will end Saturday, April 27 once Rounds 4-7 have concluded.

The TV channels to pin for 2019 NFL Draft coverage are ABC, ESPN and NFL Network. Each channel will broadcast all seven rounds on all three days of the NFL Draft.

What time does the NFL Draft start?

The start time for the 2019 NFL Draft is 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 25. That night, the entire first round of the 2019 NFL Draft will play out, but only the first round.

The start time for the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft is 7 p.m. ET on Friday. Round 3 of the NFL Draft will also play out Friday night. The start time for Saturday's coverage of the NFL Draft, which includes Rounds 4-7, is noon ET.

In the first round of the NFL Draft, each team gets 10 minutes to make its pick. In the second and third rounds, each team gets seven minutes to make its pick. In the fourth, fifth, sixth rounds, each team gets five minutes to make its pick. In the seventh round, each team gets four minutes to make its pick. If a team lets its time expire without making its pick, it can make a pick later, but it runs the risk of letting the next team on the clock take the player it was considering.

That process and timing means the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday night will last roughly three hours. Rounds 2-3 on Friday night will last roughly four hours, and Rounds 4-7 on Saturday will last roughly six hours.

NFL Draft TV schedule

ABC, ESPN and NFL Network will broadcast the 2019 NFL Draft, with each network showing all seven rounds on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

ABC will be the exclusive broadcast home of the NFL Draft and will produce its own telecast for the ABC audience, separate from ESPN and NFL Network, during the first two nights of coverage. For the second straight year, ABC will simulcast ESPN's presentation on Day 3.

The prime-time NFL Draft coverage on ABC will be anchored by ESPN's "College GameDay" crew, with other ESPN and ABC personalities being part of the ABC presentation. The telecasts on ESPN and NFL Network will feature largely the same analysis those networks have utilized for years.

"We are excited that the ABC stations will be the only broadcast home for every round of the 2019 NFL Draft," ABC Affiliate Association chairman Brian Lawlor said in a statement upon the announcement of ABC's NFL Draft coverage. "By collaborating with ESPN, we are ensuring all fans across the nation can enjoy live coverage of the drama and celebration around drafting pro football's newest stars."

SN's latest mock draft:

In our latest NFL mock draft for 2019, we are able to account for NFL Combine and Pro Day results, not to mention how things have played out in NFL free agency.

The biggest development was the Browns giving up their first-rounder to the Giants in a trade for Odell Beckham Jr. With New York now picking twice in Round 1, at No. 6 and No. 17, some aftershocks have been sent across the board.

Where is the NFL Draft in 2019?

A year ago, after a review of the proposal by the NFL Super Bowl & Major Events Advisory Committee and full team ownership, the league announced Nashville, Tenn., would host the 2019 NFL Draft. According to the league, it was "the result of a comprehensive evaluation process over the past several months of plans submitted by various cities."

At the time, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Nashville "has a passionate fan base and offers iconic locations that will enable us to expand the draft in unique ways." Added Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp President and CEO Butch Spyridon: "We are prepared to deliver a unique Music City experience and an NFL-caliber event."

Indeed, the NFL recently announced additional music performances at the 2019 NFL Draft, the first ever draft to incorporate a free music series featuring Nashville-based artists of all genres. Dierks Bentley will headline a free outdoor concert Saturday, April 27 at the draft main stage in downtown Nashville, and Tim McGraw will headline for the NFL Draft on Friday, April 26. Gospel music great CeCe Winans will sing the national anthem to open NFL Draft on Thursday, April 25. (A full list of 2019 NFL Draft performances can be found here.)

Downtown Nashville's Lower Broadway and the area outside Nissan Stadium will host free, public activities through all three days of the 2019 NFL Draft.
